Job Summary

Legion Health is seeking a Provider Partnerships Leader to build trusted referral relationships with primary care providers and other clinical partners. This is a founding commercial leadership role with significant potential for growth and equity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the provider referral engine from 0 to 1
  • Identify and prioritize high-potential referral sources
  • Create territory and market launch plans
  • Own referral growth metrics
  • Build relationships with physicians and clinical leaders
  • Remove friction in the referral process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the referral experience
  • Build repeatable systems and processes
  • Collect and act on provider feedback
  • Hire and manage Provider Partnerships Managers
  • Prove Legion can win trust in competitive markets
  • Drive meaningful referral volume from high-quality clinical partners

Requirements

  • 5+ years in healthcare business development, provider partnerships, physician liaison, clinical outreach, territory sales, or referral-growth roles
  • Strong preference for psychiatry, behavioral health, primary care, specialty care, outpatient imaging, physical therapy, home health, hospice, specialty pharmacy, GI, dermatology, women’s health, or other referral-driven care models
  • Proven track record of growing referral volume through direct provider relationships
  • Experience owning a market, region, or territory with concrete activity and performance metrics
  • Field-sales instincts: high activity, crisp follow-up, account prioritization, route planning, and comfort hearing "no"
  • Ability to build trust across physicians, office staff, administrators, referral coordinators, and executive stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of healthcare workflows: referrals, intake, scheduling, EHRs, fax, patient engagement, insurance coverage, and clinical handoffs
  • Comfortable using CRM, spreadsheets, dashboards, and referral data to manage performance
  • High judgment around compliance, HIPAA, patient privacy, and ethical referral practices
