Provider Assistant (Medical Assistant/CMA/RMA/LPN/EMT/CNA) - Family Medicine
Job Description
We are currently looking for a medical assistant (36 hours/week) for our Family Medicine department. Position is eligible for full-time benefits including medical and dental insurance. Applicants do not need previous experience or training/certification as a medical assistant but do need to meet the minimum requirements for the position. Other part-time and full-time opportunities may be available.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Take vital signs and document findings in the patient record
- Review annual wellness questionnaire with appropriate patients
- Administer immunizations
- Monitor messages and relay clinician responses via phone calls
- Enter orders for laboratory services
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with or without certification (AAMA or AMT)
- OR Current LPN (MN and WI license required)
- OR Graduate of an accredited EMT program plus current EMT license (national and Minnesota)
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program and current Nursing Assistant Certification in Minnesota PLUS current CPR certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- One year medial assistant or LPN experience in a clinic
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record software
Pay
$3,000 HIRING BONUS for eligible candidates
