Provider Assistant (Medical Assistant/CMA/RMA/LPN/EMT/CST) - Family Medicine
About the role
HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater is seeking a provider assistant to assist healthcare providers in the timely delivery of services per physician/RN direction and according to Clinic policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Take vital signs and document findings in the patient record
- Review annual wellness questionnaire with appropriate patients
- Administer immunizations
- Monitor messages and relay clinician responses via phone calls
- Enter orders for laboratory services
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with or without certification (AAMA or AMT) OR Current LPN (MN and WI license required) OR Graduate of an accredited EMT program plus current EMT license (national and Minnesota) OR Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program and current Nursing Assistant Certification in Minnesota OR High school diploma or GED
- 2 years customer service experience and/or healthcare experience
- Complete Medical Terminology and Pharmacology online courses within six months of hire PLUS current CPR certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- One year medial assistant or LPN experience in a clinic
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record software
