This hospital security role involves enforcing Providence and facility policies, identifying safety risks, responding to emergencies, investigating incidents, and maintaining a professional security presence throughout the medical center. Security Officer Responsibilities Patrol hospital buildings, grounds, parking areas, and assigned facilitiesProtect patients, visitors, caregivers, physicians, property, and equipmentRespond to security incidents and emergency situationsInvestigate suspicious activity, disturbances, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entryEnforce hospital security policies and regulationsDocument incidents and prepare accurate security reportsHelp address fire, safety, and accident-related hazardsCommunicate with hospital staff, security leadership, and emergency respondersAssist with physical intervention or restraint when authorized and necessaryMaintain a calm, professional, and service-oriented presence The role receives general direction from the Security Manager, Security Supervisor, or Lead Security Officer.
