Prosecuting Attorney - Brooklyn Park

About the role

The City of Brooklyn Park is seeking an experienced Prosecuting Attorney to lead the prosecution team. This role involves serving as the City's lead legal representative, handling petty misdemeanor, misdemeanor, and gross misdemeanor crimes. The ideal candidate will manage the associate prosecutor and paralegal while driving the strategic vision of the prosecutorial team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the associate prosecutor and paralegal
• Drive the strategic vision of the prosecutorial team
• Handle petty misdemeanor, misdemeanor, and gross misdemeanor crimes
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based partnerships with the Brooklyn Park Police Department, investigators, and key municipal stakeholders

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of criminal prosecution
• Strong, established familiarity with the Hennepin County District Court system
• A commitment to equitable justice
