About this Position

The Proposal Engineer will assist in the development and execution of projects, providing technical support to both structural engineering customers and certified applicator customers who utilize Henkel FRP materials. The role involves building relationships within the structural engineering community, becoming a trusted technical resource, and identifying and developing business opportunities through follow-up and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage specifications that enhance customer value and support the use of Henkel FRP materials.
  • Aid the Sales team in lead generation and qualification, offering support during the opportunity progress process.
  • Manage the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system for select opportunities as requested by the Sales team.
  • Support the creation and accuracy of technical/commercial offers, ensuring data quality and system usability.
  • Coordinate with various departments, channels, or customers to address daily operational topics.
  • Track customer satisfaction post-deal closure and analyze sales data to refine strategies and forecast targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering (Architectural Engineering), or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Client-focused and strong background in structural engineering or construction.
  • Previous experience as a project engineer, field engineer, design engineer, or sales engineer is beneficial.
  • A genuine interest in career growth in applications engineering or technical sales.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a bias towards quick task completion and timely delivery.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) are required.
  • Travel by automobile and airplane is required.

Pay

The salary for this role is $65,000.00 - $85,000.00. This is the range we anticipate using when setting wages for this position, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
