Civil Structural Engineer

About the role

GBA is a professional, full-service architectural and engineering firm based in Lenexa, KS. They are seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations for building projects
• Prepare and/or direct others in preparing structural construction documents
• Manage all aspects of the structural design process
• Cook up with architects and MEP engineers
• Review construction shop drawings and respond to contractor inquiries
• Opportunity for cross-training in structural bridge design, if desired

Requirements

• BS/MS in Architectural or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural design
• EIT certification
• 2–5 years of experience
• Proficiency in Revit (required)
• Experience with AutoCAD (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on fast-paced projects
• Previous internship experience is a plus

Qualifications
