Proposal Analyst

About the role
The Proposal Analyst will coordinate and produce proposal responses (RFI, EN’s, RFP, etc.) while working with the proposal team to secure wins. This role involves managing and improving the proposal process, establishing bid strategy, developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), maintaining proposal templates, logging and archiving proposals, and determining proposal and project schedules.
Responsibilities
- Able to read and interpret requests for proposals (RFP) from diverse sources
- Coordinate and review/edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders
- Maintain audit logs and detailed organized files
- Coordinate extraction and interpretation of data
- Develop and share compliance matrices, writing templates, and outlines
- Monitor, review, and direct weekly proposal progress
- Coordinate technical and management approaches, development of the cost volume
- Strong oral and writing skills, including the ability to orally communicate technical and financial requirements, and compose documents involving complex or technical information
- Perform and present comprehensive cost analysis using a strong financial analytical background
- Schedule and run proposal kick-off meetings, facilitate key review meetings, and final document review
- Lead efforts to improve business processes by removing waste and enhancing output quality
- Coordinate proposal governance, sign-off, production, and delivery of a completed and compliant proposal
Requirements
- 0-2 years experience in Federal Government pricing (notably DoD requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Expert with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of financial and costing of bids and proposals
- Familiarity with FAR Part 15 Cost Reporting requirements
- Experience with Pro-Pricer and Work Breakdown Structures
- Knowledge of electronics development, manufacturing, and/or sustainment is a plus
