Prophet 21 Business Solutions Architect

About the Role
Join a growing organization as a Business Solutions Architect, designing practical technology and process solutions that help the business solve problems, improve operations, and meet strategic goals. Reporting to the VP of IT, you'll support daily ERP financial operations while driving business improvement initiatives. You'll work closely with Operations, Finance, and Technical teams to streamline processes and improve system utilization. This is an opportunity to bridge Finance, Operations, and Technology at a strategic level, translating business needs into real technical solutions while driving process improvement and system optimization across the organization. You'll play a key role in shaping how ERP systems support the business long-term.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of support for ERP systems, supporting Finance with GL, AP, AR, and cost accounting processes within Dynamics/Great Plains and Epicor Prophet 21
- Work with stakeholders to understand goals, pain points, workflows, and requirements
- Guide projects, review technical designs, resolve issues, and keep teams aligned during delivery
- Translate business requirements into technical direction for developers, analysts, vendors, and IT teams
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and queries, and document ERP configurations and SOPs
- Analyze ERP data and monitor KPIs to support operational and financial decision-making
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in ERP modules, implementations, financial systems, or business process transformation
- Microsoft SQL (T-SQL) and SQL Server Management Studio
- Experience in user support, technical service desk, or technical customer service
- Report writing using business intelligence tools, including advanced Excel
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with experience in process improvement
Skills
- C# coding experience (a plus)
- Familiarity with Dynamics Great Plains and Prophet 21 (a plus)
