About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP IBP Consultant / Business Solutions Architect to support an ERP transformation and PDC (Parts Distribution Center) enablement initiative. This role will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP IBP Demand, Supply & Response, and Inventory Optimization solutions, ensuring they can handle high-volume, exception-driven parts planning scenarios. The consultant will act as a thought leader and change agent, bridging gaps between IBP capabilities and business requirements, and delivering scalable, high-performance planning solutions aligned to enterprise priorities.

Responsibilities

  • IBP Solution Architecture & Implementation
    • Own technical architecture and design for SAP IBP (Demand, Supply & Response, Inventory Optimization) and integration tools (CPI-DS, SDI, RTI).
    • Configure and enhance IBP modules to support high-volume transaction processing (POs, order lines) and exception-driven planning workflows.
    • Ensure alignment with enterprise IT strategy and SAP roadmap.
  • Requirements Analysis & Gap Resolution
    • Lead deep-dive sessions on business requirements.
    • Evaluate what IBP can deliver via standard configuration and identify gaps vs. business expectations.
    • Provide clear recommendations for configuration solutions, enhancements, workarounds, or alternate approaches where IBP limitations exist.
  • Exception-Based Planning & Performance Optimization
    • Design solutions to support mass exception handling (shortages, excess, supply constraints).
    • Optimize fast processing of large volumes of POs and planning data.
    • Improve system responsiveness to meet business expectations for speed, throughput, and scalability.
  • Business Engagement & Prioritization
    • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Parts Operations, and IT teams to translate business pain points into actionable IBP solutions.
    • Define and manage a prioritized roadmap aligned to PDC enablement, ERP rollout phases, and post-go-live enhancements.
  • Data & Planning Model Design
    • Define and optimize planning areas, key figures, and master data models.
    • Support data readiness, including data cleansing, transformation, and harmonization.
    • Ensure alignment with ERP data structures and analytics platforms.
  • Integration & End-to-End Flow
    • Support integration between SAP IBP, SAP ECC, and external systems (data lake, reporting tools).
    • Ensure seamless planning flow across demand, supply, and execution.
  • PDC & ERP Transformation Support
    • Align IBP design with PDC blueprinting and rollout strategy.
    • Identify deliverables for blueprint phase vs. post-PDC.
    • Support phased implementation and delivery.
  • Delivery, Testing & Continuous Improvement
    • Lead/support full lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, and hypercare.
    • Support UAT, validation, and performance testing.
    • Drive continuous improvement of IBP solutions and planning processes.
  • Governance & Best Practices
    • Ensure adherence to SAP IBP best practices and IT standards.
    • Document processes, milestones, and solution architecture.
    • Support long-term IBP capability maturity and scalability.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in SAP IBP implementation and architecture.
  • Hands-on expertise in Demand Planning, Supply Planning / Response & Supply, and Inventory Optimization.
  • Experience with SAP CPI-DS / SDI / RTI integrations and SAP ERP (ECC/S4 integration).
  • Strong experience in high-volume, exception-based planning environments.
  • Experience in business requirement analysis, solution design, and full software development lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and multi-geographic teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in aftermarket, parts, or distribution-heavy business models.
  • Experience in multi-ERP consolidation or transformation programs.
  • Exposure to data lake / analytics platforms and high-scale transaction environments (POs, order lines, exceptions).
  • Ability to assess IBP limitations and propose alternate solutions.

Benefits

  • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans
  • 401k Retirement Fund
