Job Responsibilities

What You Will Do

• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws by conducting audits of property tax exempt applications for both real and personal property while maintaining quality customer service.
• Primary Job Duties Include:
• Reviewing, examining, and processing property tax exempt applications to ensure compliance
• Providing customer service to taxpayers, taxpayer representatives, or county representatives
• Reviewing correspondence concerning denials and requests for additional information
• Reviewing customer accounts to verify receipt and status of applications
• Aiding taxpayers navigating MyDORWAY to submit applications, remove previously exempted real/personal property, and check application status

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• Requires all of the following:
• A high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Previous call center experience
• Data entry experience (keying preference of 35 - 50 wpm)
• Basic computer skills

• Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in accounting, auditing, finance or tax preparation/analysis
• A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses
• An associate's degree and three years of experience in accounting, auditing, finance, or tax preparation/analysis
• A high school diploma and five years of experience in accounting, auditing, finance, or tax preparation/analysis

Hours: Work hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week).
