About the role

The Property Superintendent at Roots Renewal Ranch plays a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment where healing can take place. This position oversees the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the 17-acre campus, ensuring all buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems are operating safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the 17-acre campus.
  • Provide daily care for 40+ ranch animals, including feeding, providing water, and maintaining clean animal areas.
  • Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot and perform general repairs, including carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, doors, locks, and fixtures.
  • Ensure all buildings, common areas, and outdoor spaces remain clean, safe, and in excellent condition.
  • Cook up with and supervise outside contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Obtain quotes and assist with planning and budgeting for maintenance projects and capital improvements.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and promptly address hazards.
  • Assist with campus improvements, renovations, and special projects.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness efforts and respond to after-hours facility emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma.
  • Experience in commercial or residential property maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.
