Job Overview/Purpose
The Property Services Worker I performs a variety of construction and maintenance tasks to support the company’s Construction and Facilities projects. This role ensures all work adheres to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Job Requirements/Essential Duties
- Perform tasks such as framing, finish carpentry, concrete finishing, painting, building block walls, plastering, plumbing, equipment and vehicle operation, laborer management, digging ditches, and cleanup.
- Ensure all work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Follow established construction methods and procedures, referring to the Superintendent for any exceptions or issues.
- Maintain daily communication with the supervisor and provide daily updates using Procore software.
- Engage in limited communication with department heads, subcontractors, and vendors as required.
Knowledge, Skill & Abilities/Prerequisites
- High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant job site experience.
- Minimum of two years' experience in the construction trades, or a combination of education, training, and hands-on experience demonstrating necessary knowledge and abilities.
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- Basic knowledge of construction techniques using hand tools and power tools, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, finish carpentry, touch-up painting, and light drywall repair.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds of materials, equipment, or supplies at least 1/3 of the workday.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a challenging environment.
- Intermediate to advanced-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Provide high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
