Responsibilities
- Train, empower, and motivate the office and maintenance team through team-building activities, one-on-one meetings, continuous support and training, and providing feedback.
- Assist in budget preparation and manage expenses to align with property goals.
- Oversee office operations, communicate policies and procedures, ensure quality curb appeal, and maintain community cleanliness.
- Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to align all maintenance-related activities and initiatives with property goals.
- Promote resident satisfaction and retention by responding to concerns, questions, and requests in a timely manner and resolving service issues.
- Ensure property financial performance and a great resident experience while meeting property-specific KPIs.
- Implement lead capture forms or contact methods to gather information from potential customers interested in leasing.
- Assist in managing the client/owner relationship by meeting with owners, conducting property tours, providing updates on property performance, and responding to Regional Managers regarding owner requests.
- Manage and maintain vendor relationships, including vendor packets, schedules, and billing.
Requirements
- Minimum three years’ experience as a Property Manager in the multi-family industry.
- Superb marketing skills with the ability to develop a property marketing plan and oversee outside marketing.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to read, interpret, and update financial reports and statements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective verbal and written communication with residents, team members, peers, vendors, and owners.
- Ability to de-escalate and respond sensitively to customer service-related concerns.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively delegate and manage a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- YARDI® experience is preferred but not required.
