Property Manager, Multifamily
About the role
Multifamily Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, always ensuring high-level of service. This role operates in a professional office environment and requires regular travel.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the smooth running of our community in a fast-paced environment.
- Overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
- Providing superior customer service and communication to our residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
- Complete lease/renewal paperwork to ensure completion to company standards.
- Track and evaluate advertising, and all client traffic.
- Developing, mentoring, leading, and managing a high-performing, cohesive team, including leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel, in order to maximize their engagement and minimize turnover.
- Driving revenues with your thorough understanding and analysis of competition and development of creative marketing programs.
- Leading by example. Instilling, maintaining, and modeling Cushman & Wakefield’s mission to be the best national management company.
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the entire on-site team, ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed.
- Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching team as necessary.
- Maintain residents' files in accordance with company's standards.
- Manage and maintain all aspects of overall community budget and finances.
- Work with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are being met.
- Be able to manage a team.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- MN Real Estate License preferred.
- 3+ years of on-site Multifamily Property Management experience required, including Leasing and Assistant Property Manager roles/duties required.
- Rent collection, delinquency, and evictions experience required.
- Strong Preference for experienced on-site Multifamily Property Manager 1+ years.
- Strong preference for experience with invoicing, GL coding, reclasses and accruals, variance reporting, month end, pre-close exposure.
- Required on-site schedule MON-FRI 8:00am-4:30pm.
- Yardi systems experience strongly preferred.
- AIRM pricing preferred experience.
- Strong preference for CapEx renovation projects onsite, and vendor management experience.
Qualifications
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills.
- General office, bookkeeping and sales skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, Cushman and Wakefield provides eligible employees with competitive pay, which may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, total hours worked, job type, business line, and applicability of collective bargaining agreements. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
Pay
$ 59,500.00 - $70,000.00
