About the role
Join our team as a Property Manager at the Harbor at State and Main! We are seeking an experienced affordable housing professional who is passionate about creating a welcoming community and supporting residents. In this role, you'll lead day-to-day property operations, and help create a stable, supportive environment where residents can thrive.
Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the affordable housing community, ensuring strong occupancy, resident satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Lead and support the onsite team
- Oversee leasing, resident relations, rent collection, budgeting, financial reporting, and overall property performance.
- Manage affordable housing compliance and resident certifications across LIHTC, and other applicable programs, partnering closely with the Compliance team.
- Build strong relationships with residents and collaborate with onsite Resident Services to support housing stability and provide trauma-informed, resident-centered service.
- Oversee property maintenance, unit turns, inspections, vendor relationships, and the overall appearance, safety, and condition of the community.
- Address resident concerns and operational challenges with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions-oriented approach.
Requirements
- 3+ years of property management experience in an affordable housing environment.
- Previous experience working with LIHTC
- Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to trauma-informed, resident-centered service delivery.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Previous supervisory experience and the ability to manage budgets, financial performance, and property operations.
