About the role

The Property Manager oversees all aspects of property operations, ensuring efficient day-to-day management, resident satisfaction, and financial performance. Responsibilities include lease administration, rent collection, maintenance coordination, vendor contract oversight, and monthly reporting. This role serves as the primary liaison between residents, associates, and the corporate office, fostering a positive living and working environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day property operations, including resident satisfaction, retention, lease administration, rent collection, and delinquency management.
• Oversee property profit and loss (P&L) and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain residents.
• Meet client expectations by delivering excellent customer service and adhering to property management agreement guidelines.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and provide corrective feedback and coaching to associates to foster a high-performance team.
• Lead and communicate a shared vision, creating a motivating climate where associates thrive.
• Address resident complaints, enforce landlord rules, and manage common area maintenance administration.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.
• Develop and implement site natural disaster and emergency evacuation plans.
• Manage property and associate safety records, loss claims, and risk management initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two to three years of property management experience required.
• One to two years of direct management experience required.
• Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.
• Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.
• Knowledge of Salesforce.com and Yardi Voyager (or equivalent system) preferred.

• Very strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication across all management levels.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Sensitivity to confidential matters.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to relay technical concerns with accuracy and detail.
• Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English.
• Proficiency with general office equipment (telephone, fax, printer, copier, key track system).
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others.
• Ability to manage and defuse situations involving angry or difficult individuals.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required.
