Property Manager - Affordable Housing

We are a growing and established multifamily housing organization seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at a residential community in the East Metro area of the Twin Cities. About the role

The ideal candidate will bring a strong property management background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This contract-to-hire position offers the opportunity to join a reputable property management organization on a long-term basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a residential apartment community
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and prospective residents
• Manage resident relations, lease compliance, and issue resolution
• Coordinate maintenance requests and property improvements
• Support occupancy goals through leasing and retention initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policies and housing regulations
• Maintain accurate resident files and property records
• Work closely with regional leadership and onsite staff to achieve operational goals
• Assist with budgeting, reporting, and property performance metrics

Requirements

• Previous Property Manager experience within multifamily housing
• Strong resident relations and customer service skills
• Experience overseeing leasing, occupancy, and property operations
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Affordable housing experience
• Knowledge of HUD, Section 8, or LIHTC programs
• Experience with Yardi or similar property management software
• Prior leadership or team supervision experience

Location

100% on-site in Cottage Grove, MN.

Pay

$25 - $32/hr, depending on qualifications.
