Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and variance analyses for a portfolio of commercial properties.
- Manage lease-related accounting activities including expense allocations, tenant charges, and reconciliation processes.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy by reviewing financial transactions, account balances, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with property management teams to evaluate financial performance and support business planning initiatives.
- Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and automation efforts that increase operational efficiency.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, real estate, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of commercial real estate accounting or financially focused property management experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of lease structures, tenant billing practices, and property accounting concepts.
- Possess experience using property management or accounting software and proficiency with Excel.
- Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Apply strong analytical skills when reviewing contracts, financial data, and operational performance.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail when handling reconciliations, reporting, and accounting records.
- Communicate effectively with property teams, tenants, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Work independently while contributing successfully within a collaborative team environment.
- Retail property experience and knowledge of multi-tenant commercial environments are considered beneficial.
