Property Maintenance Worker II - Huebner Creek Villas

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team at Volunteers of America Texas in San Antonio, TX. As a maintenance professional, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others while enjoying a reliable schedule and opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor repairs to electrical systems, including breakers, outlets, switches, disposals, and lighting systems
• Performs carpentry repairs, including door repairs and replacements, exterior repairs, and tile work
• Performs interior and exterior painting, including preparations of drywall and siding and staining and finishing of exterior and interior wood surfaces
• Performs plumbing repairs, including changing out faucets, supply lines, and toilets
• Completes all forms, work orders, and related paperwork in a timely and professional manner
• Works independently, driving to and from job assignment sites in a safe, professional, and timely manner

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience in the maintenance field
• Or, high school diploma or equivalent plus a certificate from a maintenance trade/vocational school
• Or, equivalent years of relevant work experience
• Valid Texas Driver's License, clear MVR, and ability to be insured
