Property Maintenance Technician - Greater Madison Area (Multiple Locations)

About the role

The Property Maintenance Technician supports day‑to‑day upkeep and repair for REMS and Secure Storage properties. Full‑time and part‑time roles are available at Baraboo, Madison, and Monona, WI. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work and supporting a variety of property needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance, repairs and improvements such as painting, structural and minor roof repair, apartment turn‑over, HVAC, minor electrical, plumbing, appliance installation/removal, and emergency maintenance.
• Provide grounds maintenance, including landscaping, exterior building maintenance, and snow removal.
• Maintain streets and common areas of the property.
• Safely operate a truck to transport materials.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with residents and coworkers while working in a team environment.

Requirements

• Diverse, well‑rounded skill set to support multiple maintenance functions.
• Experience providing maintenance services for rental properties, storage facilities, or similar (highly desired).
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and with team members.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties as needed.

Schedule

Both full‑time and part‑time opportunities across multiple locations. Scheduling is flexible based on property and operational needs. Team members participate in an on‑call rotation for nights and weekends, typically rotating every other week.
