Property Maintenance Technician

The Position We are seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Technician to provide the handyman and construction skills necessary to maintain our buildings and property. This role requires excellent problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills and the drive to be proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable. This is a full-time year-round position, paying $23 to start, with weekly pay. Work week is generally Monday through Friday and averages 40 hours, with paid overtime opportunities; schedule may vary slightly based on seasonal demands and operational needs, including occasional weekend responsibilities to support special events and peak business periods. Responsibilities Overall property maintenance, repair, and improvement to office and retail spaces, landscapes and pondsDiagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, water, and other building systems and work with outside vendors when neededRoutine maintenance of walkways, drives, porches, and pedestrian pathsIrrigation system maintenance and repairSet up and tear down for events and room rentalsObtain and coordinate subcontractors for outside repairs and projectsProperty trash and disposal maintenance (litter pickup, dumpster compaction, excess pot and pallet disposal, etc.)Animal care and husbandry (feed procurement, housing upkeep and maintenance, seasonal preparations, and general animal welfare)Necessary weed control utilizing manual and chemical methodsHeavy equipment usage for grading and excavation purposesSupplemental equipment maintenance and upkeep to support mechanicPeriodic material procurement for mechanic and landscape and maintenance teamsRespond to emergency issues as neededDaily correspondence of task completion to relative management Requirements Must have a valid driver’s license with no major MVR infractionsAbility to use hand and power tools, along with large and small machinery/equipmentPhysical ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform outdoor work in all weather conditionsStrong communication, customer service, and teamwork skillsBasic knowledge of plants and vegetation (preferred)Vocational or trade school certification (preferred) For Garden’s Sake is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
