About the Role
Join our dynamic team at Enclave as a Property Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our residents. We're looking for a skilled professional with hands-on expertise in all aspects of residential maintenance repair and service to ensure our properties remain in top-notch condition.
Primary work location: Sioux Falls, SD. This is an on-site, full-time (40 hours/week) position with a standard Monday–Friday schedule and on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to prevent breakdowns. Lubricate, clean, and adjust machines as necessary.
- Replace worn or damaged parts and components to avoid equipment failure.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Perform repairs on malfunctioning equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with team members or vendors to address complex issues and implement corrective actions.
- Install new machinery, equipment, or systems according to specifications and safety guidelines. Test equipment post-installation to ensure proper functioning.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety protocols.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and inspections. Report issues, repairs, and inventory needs to supervisors or managers.
- Work closely with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and facility managers to improve equipment reliability. Provide technical support to other departments and team members when needed.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems; ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Quick diagnosis of issues and finding effective solutions.
- Attention to detail and ability to spot potential problems before they escalate.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to machinery and equipment.
- Clear communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with team members.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks like lifting heavy objects, standing, or working in awkward positions.
- Great attitude and customer service focus.
- Willingness to advance within the field (continuing education and certification opportunities available).
Qualifications
Individuals with previous experience in factory maintenance, hotel maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, drywall, concrete, other trades, or those who are mechanically inclined and handy are ideal candidates for this position.
