About the role
National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering home, auto, and accident and health insurance through a network of independent agents and directly to consumers. We are seeking a seasoned Homeowner Field Adjuster to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri.
Responsibilities
- Investigates and confirms facts of loss for complex Homeowner's Claims.
- Determines coverage, damages, and negotiates claims within the limits of authority.
- Creates comprehensive estimates of damages for complex first-party homeowner claims.
- Manages relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Negotiates settlements, makes payment settlements, and documents all activities in the most complex files.
- Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training.
- Exhibits mastery in estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on complex first-party homeowner losses of all severities.
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing a wide range of homeowner claims.
- Proficient in Xactimate and XactAnalysis.
- The ability to confidently write estimates up to $150K.
- Coverage of the St. Louis area.
Qualifications
- Mastery in property damage assessment and homeowners insurance claims.
- Experience with large loss claims and performance management.
- Strong case management and stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of water damage repair and insurance policies.

Benefits
- Compensation Base: $53,500 - $86,400 for Field Adjuster Cons I, $56,000 - $93,250 for Field Adjuster Cons II, and $65,600 - $111,550 for Field Adjuster Sr Cons I & II.
- Incentive pay (commission, bonus, etc.) may be applicable.
Pay
Compensation for this role is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation includes base compensation and incentive pay.
