About the role
The Property Disposal Technician (OA) is responsible for reviewing and inspecting property to ensure accurate descriptions and conditions. Duties also include inputting required documentation into disposal and supply systems, preparing lists of property needs, researching and reconciling database discrepancies, and assisting in national sales.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and inspects property for accuracy and condition.
- Inputs required documentation into disposal and supply systems.
- Thoroughly reviews completed receiving documentation for accuracy.
- Prepares and maintains lists of Federal agency property needs.
- Researches, reconciles, and advises on database rejects and record discrepancies.
- Aids in conducting various types of national sales.
- Performs additional clerical and technical duties.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Tour of duty: Set schedule.
- Security requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive.
- Appointment subject to suitability and fitness determination.
- Not authorized for recruitment incentives.
- Bargaining unit status: No.
- Selectees must have REAL ID or other acceptable identification.
- Must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade, time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.
- To qualify at GS-07 level, must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems.
- Specialized experience includes: Maintaining control of accountability records, preparing technical contractual documents, researching automated systems, and processing property accounting.
- Typing proficiency required: Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
Qualifications
- To qualify for the GS-07 level, must have one year of specialized experience that equips you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.
- Education: Graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
- Experience: Must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade, time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.
- Creditable specialized experience includes: Maintaining control of accountability records, preparing technical contractual documents, researching automated systems, and processing property accounting.
