This role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and in the field, utilizing advanced technology and industry-leading tools to evaluate damages and settle claims effectively.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a diverse inventory of commercial property claims from first notice through resolution.
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims while ensuring compliance with policy provisions, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct on-site inspections of damaged properties to assess losses, document damage, gather evidence, and determine scope and cause.
- Utilize innovative virtual inspection technology, including the ClaimXperience platform, to efficiently evaluate damages and expedite claim resolution.
- Analyze policies, contracts, estimates, invoices, repair documentation, and other claim-related materials to determine coverage and damages.
- Apply sound judgment to interpret policy language, identify applicable coverages, and evaluate exclusions.
- Establish and manage claim reserves, ensuring they accurately reflect exposure throughout the life of the claim.
- Negotiate settlements confidently within authority limits and recommend resolutions on higher-exposure claims.
