Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Homeowners and Condo (HO3 and HO6) Forms and Compliance team by designing, reviewing, and optimizing organizational documents and data collection tools.
- Evaluate new products, endorsements, and services within the product pipeline.
- Develop and implement new products that lead to growth and profits consistent with the Company’s future strategic plan.
- Serve as a team member on channel-driven product enhancement projects.
- Research business ideas, market opportunities, or trends that lead to new product ideas.
- Analyze the financial potential of new product ideas.
- Define and develop new product features and market positioning based on customer need and competitive environment.
- Create, update, and manage paper and electronic documents based on organizational requirements.
- Audit existing form databases to eliminate redundancies and maintain version controls.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to implementing best practices within the team.
- Develop quality standards, administration, and policy language for new products.
- Develop and present business plans and justification for new business opportunities/new products.
- Collaborate with internal teams for effective implementation of new and revised products.
- Analyze testing of new products and existing product enhancements to ensure the product maintains positioning and profitability.
- Stay updated with the latest industry and consumer trends by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, Internet research, establishing personal networks, and/or participating in professional societies.
- Provide new thought direction and expertise to channels and client teams by attending brainstorming sessions for marketing, product enhancements or new product ideas.
- Assist the client teams by attending client presentations as product experts when necessary.
- Identify procedural compliance gaps and recommend clear solutions to management.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Homeowners or Condo insurance Product Analyst capacity.
- A level of knowledge ordinarily acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong planning, organizational, and analyzing skills.
- Proven proficiency utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desired Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s, master's degree or P&C Insurance Institute Designation i.e.. AINS, CPCU, ARM, etc. or license.
- Some understanding of the Property Casualty Insurance Industry, such as coverages and products.
- 3 years of working in the Property & Casualty insurance industry.
- Project management skills.
- In-depth analytical skills, including Excel software.
- Ability to analyze rates and policy language.
- Strong decision-making ability.
