Job Responsibilities
- Lead and support insurance program renewals, including broker management, negotiation of pricing and terms, and marketing Entergy’s risk profile to underwriters
- Evaluate new and emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Advise management and project teams on insurance-related considerations for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate initiatives
- Provide guidance on contractual indemnity, property, and liability risk issues
- Manage proof-of-insurance requirements for leases, mortgages, and other obligations
- Aid in maintaining the insurance financial forecast to ensure accurate premium projections and timely communication to senior leadership
- Support the preparation of rate case testimony and related regulatory filings
- Aid in preparing insurance reports and briefings for senior management and the Board Audit Committee
- Cook up procurement of regulatory and legally required surety bonds
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field; concentration in Risk Management preferred
- Experience: Risk Analyst I – 0-2 years of property/casualty risk management experience desired, Risk Analyst II – minimum of 2 years of property/casualty risk management experience desired, Risk Analyst III – 3-5 years of property/casualty risk management experience desired
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team; Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop practical solutions to risk issues; Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects and prioritize effectively; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Foundational knowledge of property/casualty risk operations
- Desired Certifications: ARM, CPCU
Additional Responsibilities
- Available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company
