About the role

A respected nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee residential housing operations and support its mission of providing quality housing and services to the community.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of property management experience, preferably within residential, affordable housing, public housing, nonprofit, or regulated housing environments. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations, managing resident relations, coordinating with maintenance teams, monitoring occupancy, preparing reports, and collaborating with internal teams and community partners.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of residential properties.
  • Manage resident relations, lease administration, move-ins, move-outs, and occupancy processes.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors to ensure properties are well-maintained and resident concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Monitor occupancy, rent collections, and property performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable housing regulations.
  • Prepare reports, budgets, and operational documentation as needed.
  • Respond to resident inquiries and help resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to support housing initiatives and resident services.
  • Assist with property inspections, audits, and compliance-related activities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of property management experience, preferably within residential, affordable housing, public housing, nonprofit, or regulated housing environments.
  • Working knowledge of housing compliance requirements and occupancy processes.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with residents, staff, vendors, and community stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software systems.
