About the role
This position will assist in the preparation and review of monthly financials and month-end close-outs for hotel and residential real estate projects. The role supports multiple properties to aid internal Investment Management and third-party business partners.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with third-party partners, property managers, and investment managers to provide accurate and timely monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and variance analysis.
- Deliver professional communication to senior management, business partners, and lenders, including business letters, monthly project reporting, and variance explanations.
- Review and monitor income, property expenses, and accruals for accuracy and completeness.
- Review annual property budget templates and load them into the company’s financial system.
- Submit construction draws to banks or equity partners for funding.
- Establish, maintain, and update files, databases, records, and other documents; perform routine analyses and calculations for recurring internal reports.
- Produce high-quality reports and written documents.
- Work with project management to determine current cash position, budget status, and new project setup.
- Perform other accounting duties, including property bank reconciliations, replacement reserve draws, lender financials, quarterly cash forecasting, quarterly investment notes, and special projects.
Requirements
- Four-year college degree with a major in Accounting.
- 2-5 years of experience working in the Accounting field.
- Experience with Yardi Accounting software is a plus.
- Self-motivated and works well in a group setting.
- Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Well-organized with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.
Pay
In compliance with applicable pay transparency laws, the anticipated base salary range for this remote-eligible corporate position is disclosed at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, and geographic location. This role may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as commission or incentive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.
