Property Accountant

About the role

Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a respected organization in the affordable housing and property management industry to identify four Property Accountants for a contract opportunity in Tukwila, WA. We're seeking accounting professionals with strong property accounting experience and hands-on Yardi expertise who can quickly contribute in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Review financial statements and supporting schedules
• Analyze variances and research accounting discrepancies
• Support property-level accounting, cash management, and reporting
• Maintain financial and tenant records within Yardi
• Partner with property management and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in property management, real estate, housing, or a related industry
• Yardi experience required
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
