Prom Supervisor Position

About the role

Provide high-quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service, and ensure all projects are completed accurately and on time. Deep understanding of different fabrics and sewing techniques required.

Responsibilities

• Construct, alter, and repair garments to customer specifications
• Perform fittings and adjustments on finished pieces
• Inspect garments for quality and accuracy before delivery
• Maintain sewing equipment and workspace in clean, organized condition
• Advise customers on fabric choices, care instructions, and styling options
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Requirements

• Extensive experience in garment construction, alterations, and repairs
• Proficient in hand sewing, machine sewing, and serging techniques
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, including stretch, woven, and delicate materials
• Ability to read and interpret patterns, sketches, and written instructions
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle heavy fabrics
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material requirements

Qualifications

• Certification or formal training in sewing, tailoring, or fashion design preferred
• Portfolio of completed projects demonstrating skill in various techniques
