About the Role

As a SWAT (Specialized Work & Advisory Team) Project Technician, you will ensure proper assistance is given to Project Managers, Branch Managers, and crews on large, complex projects throughout the company. Duties are assigned by the supervisor on site.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate marketplace opportunities, status of competition, and new product opportunities to local and regional management.
  • Coordinate to ensure Rain for Rent offers and delivers consistent, well-organized, on-time, and under-budget bypass pump projects.
  • Perform job duties in a manner that represents the Company honestly and fairly, maintaining good public relations with all customers, competitors, and vendors.
  • Coordinate and communicate with branch personnel regarding product needs, availability, delivery, and project specifications.
  • Promote cooperation and communication with all Rain for Rent personnel.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or EHS.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of the operation.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Depending on the project, this position may have supervisory responsibilities, including:

  • Providing limited supervision through motivation, direction, review, and feedback of assigned tasks.
  • Supervising, managing, or directing the selection, training, development, and appraisal of personnel.
  • Overseeing non-supervisory employees who report directly to this role, depending on project size.

  • Core competencies: Ethical stewardship, results-oriented, teamwork, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, functional expertise.
  • Safety certifications for job-specific projects and as required by end users (e.g., MSHA, OSHA 40H, HazWopper, Fusion Tech, TWIC).
  • Passport may be required.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently required to use simple grasping and power grasping with both hands, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Depending on the project, may be exposed to air contamination, vibrations, improperly illuminated or awkward workspaces, working above ground with fall risks, and lifting or carrying items.
  • Physical activity level varies from sedentary administrative tasks to extensive productive/technical work, depending on the project.
