About the role
The Project Technician position at City of Conroe is responsible for assisting in the planning, design, and implementation of various municipal projects. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of project plans and specifications
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure project timelines are met
- Manage project documentation and records
- Perform site inspections to ensure compliance with city codes and regulations
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required
- Valid Texas driver’s license
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of local building codes and zoning regulations
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually.
