Responsibilities
- Aid survey staff with all aspects of a survey project.
- Assist with business development and contract preparation.
- Coordinate with Survey Department manager, office staff, and field staff regarding daily workload, schedules, and needs.
- Follow policies and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of all deliverables.
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) of plats before Manager review.
- Prepare budgets/proposals, marketing/business development materials, and monthly invoicing.
- Work independently and collaboratively in group settings.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with a degree in Land Surveying preferred.
- Active Land Surveying license required for North Carolina or ability to obtain.
- Minimum of five (5) years of survey experience and project management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency with computing, drafting, and CAD standards, including AutoCAD, Carlson Civil, Survey Suite, Microstation/GeoPak (optional).
- Diverse survey experience including: Boundary surveys, topographic surveys, route surveys, construction stakeout, and transportation surveys.
- Proficiency with GPS/GNS systems and RTK/VRS, post-processing of survey data (Static - Network Least Squares Reduction).
- Ability to perform deed research, process field data collector files, resolve boundaries, prepare CAD files, metes and bounds descriptions, and final plats.
- Experience with ALTA Surveys.
- Dependable, conscientious, self-motivated, and driven personality.
- Ability to work overtime and occasional short-term travel.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to pass a driving record background check.
- Pass a mandatory drug test.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and assist in the performance of various types of surveys using the latest equipment and technology.
Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Carlson Civil, Survey Suite, and Microstation/GeoPak (optional).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of surveying techniques and technologies.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
