PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT (SEASONAL)

Duties and/or Responsibilities

• Gravel Base - Communicate gravel/base crew needs with dispatch, communicate needs with plant, work with crews, inspectors, and subcontractors to complete projects, complete quality gravel/base jobs within specifications, deliver samples to lab
• Milling - Communicate crew needs with dispatch, work with crews, inspectors, and subcontractors to complete projects, complete quality gravel/base jobs within specifications
• Paving - Communicate paving crew needs with dispatch, calculate number of trucks required to haul aggregate and/or asphalt according to capacity of vehicles, traffic conditions, distance from work site and productivity of drivers, communicate needs to plant, work with crews, inspectors and subcontractors to complete projects, produce quality asphalt product within specifications, tour work site to ascertain progress in meeting time schedules, measure slope and thickness of paving to verify compliance with, measure distances from reference points to locate boundaries of construction, direct work crews engaged in operation of vehicles, verify curvature of graded surface using hand level, supervise bituminous paving crews, aggregate production crews or crews engaged in operating machines to tamp, roll and smooth surface for subgrade of highway
• All Coach employees - Communicate needed information to employees, assist new employees, approve and submit work hours for crew and pertinent job information daily, always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and perform other duties as assigned

• Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with people under high stress situations
• Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others

Minimum Requirements

• Over 2 years up to and including 4 years from post high school, work, military, institutional or vocational environment
• Minimum 3 years experience in product line and supervisory role
• Able to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record
