Job Overview
This is a seasonal position at Knife River, a construction materials producer/contractor. The role involves administering awarded project contracts and overseeing various aspects of asphalt, grading, and concrete projects.
Duties and/or Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
- Reviews project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Safely and properly manage and coordinate activities of project with department Superintendents/Foreman.
- Complete necessary paperwork - SWPPP is properly updated, documentation of daily process reports.
- Approve and review work hours for crew and pertinent job information daily.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
- Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
- Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written); Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
- Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, Lockout/Tagout, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in product line and supervisory role.
- Experience in HCSS and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.
