Project Superintendent - Logistics

About the role
The Project Superintendent - Logistics is responsible for the efficient scheduling, management, and coordination of all subcontractors, construction trades, and labor crews to ensure quality and construction progress according to the project Master Schedule. This is a traveling position, up to 100% of the time, with projects located across the US (NC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, WY). Average project duration is 6-8 months. If eligible, the position includes designated daily per diem, relocation assistance, a vehicle allowance, and one weekend per month travel home rotation.
Responsibilities
- Permit document administration and control
- Complete review and understanding of subcontractor’s scope of work
- Coordinate safety meetings and overall responsibility for project safety
- Control project access and traffic
- Tool/equipment inventory, coordination, and rental
- Coordinate, schedule, and maintain records of all project testing and certificates including concrete and soil testing
- Coordinate with PM, PCM, and PFE daily regarding project progress, subcontractor performance, QA/QC, and reporting
- Complete “3-week look ahead schedule” and update master schedule with PCM
- Complete Daily Log Reports (Procore)
- Maintain “As Built” drawings for final submittal
- Coordinate and schedule project inspections
- Final inspection and proper close-out documentation
- Quality control of installed materials and equipment
- Site layout and control of benchmarks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or in lieu of degree, 10+ years of work experience
- Minimum 3 years’ work experience as a construction Superintendent
- Project scheduling, planning, organization, and document control
- Superior communication and organization skills, especially when managing subcontractors and inspectors
- OSHA Certification – in-depth knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling programs, and document control software
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a construction Superintendent
- Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6)
- Experience in projects greater than $20 million
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Willingness to travel throughout the US
