About the Role
You’ll travel across the US, up to 100% of the time, helping build infrastructure projects. Average project duration is 6–8 months. Sites are located in NC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, or WY. If eligible, you’ll receive a daily per diem, relocation assistance, a vehicle allowance, and one weekend per month travel-home rotation.
Responsibilities
- Permit document administration and control
- Complete review and understanding of subcontractor’s scope of work
- Coordinate safety meetings and overall responsibility for project safety
- Control project access and traffic
- Tool/equipment inventory, coordination, and rental
- Coordinate, schedule, and maintain records of all project testing and certificates including concrete and soil testing
- Coordinate with PM, PCM, and PFE daily regarding project progress, subcontractor performance, QA/QC, and reporting
- Complete “3-week look-ahead schedule” and update master schedule with PCM
- Complete Daily Log Reports (Procore)
- Maintain “As-Built” drawings for final submittal
- Coordinate and schedule project inspections
- Final inspection and proper close-out documentation
- Quality control of installed materials and equipment
- Site layout and control of benchmarks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field plus minimum 3 years’ work experience as a construction Superintendent
- In lieu of degree, 10+ years of work experience as a construction Superintendent
- Project scheduling, planning, organization, and document control
- Superior communication and organization skills, especially when managing subcontractors and inspectors
- OSHA Certification – in-depth knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling programs, and document control software
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a construction Superintendent
- Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6)
- Experience on projects greater than $20 million
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Willingness to travel throughout the US
