Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate, and manage all daily on-site construction activities for projects.
  • Develop and implement short-term "look-ahead" schedules to ensure logical workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Monitor project progress, anticipate potential delays, and proactively develop and implement recovery plans.
  • Assume overall responsibility for a clean, organized, and safe project site.
  • Enforce company safety programs and all OSHA regulations with all on-site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Implement and supervise quality control standards, conduct frequent inspections to ensure work meets construction drawings, building codes, and client specifications.
  • Strive for no-defect construction through meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all on-site communications with trade contractors, suppliers, and field employees.
  • Conduct regular on-site meetings (e.g., safety meetings, daily huddles) to align the team and address issues.
  • Communicate with clients, answering questions and ensuring construction meets their expectations and selections are made on time.
  • Cookordination and schedule all municipal inspections and liaise with inspectors.
  • Guide and direct field employees, trade contractors, and suppliers.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify all material deliveries, ensuring they meet project specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Valid driver licenses required.
  • Ability to get the proper equipment or company vehicles to and from job sites.
  • Ability to work independently on a job site.
  • The ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of field personnel and subcontractors.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage complex schedules, tasks, and documentation simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, management, and on-site crews.
  • The ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic construction environment.
  • Proven experience as a Project Superintendent, Site Supervisor, or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial, residential, or remodeling construction practices, methods, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with scheduling software and project management platforms.

Physical Demands

  • Constant (67-100%) standing and walking.
  • Frequent (34-66%), repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs. over shoulder height.
  • Frequent (34-66%), moving of heavy equipment.
  • Frequent (34-66%), bending, squatting and twisting.
  • Requires stamina to work extended hours.
