Project Specialist - Insurance

Essential Job Functions

• Process and report Auto, Cyber, Employment, and Property claims to insurance carriers while tracking financial updates.
• Compile exposure data and claims metrics needed for insurance renewals, executive board presentations, and actuarial reports.
• Manage the internal inbox to process malpractice certificates and claims history requests, and issue various liability certificates (e.g., Worker's Compensation, General Liability).
• Assist in organizing cross-functional healthcare safety events, such as Patient Safety Week.
• Prepare presentations for committees focused on promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary system administrator for the Safety Intelligence and Riskonnect Claims databases.
• Ensure data integrity, troubleshoot system issues, generate reports, and train staff on system utilization and upgrades.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, risk management, or a related field required.
• 4-5 years of experience in a healthcare, insurance, or risk management environment preferred.

Skills & Abilities

• Must be highly organized with experience in data analysis, the ability to learn and work with multiple data systems and participate in team projects.
• Strong project coordination skills, with high attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Experience working with claims management software (e.g., Riskonnect, RLDatix) and electronic reporting tools.
• Ability to analyze and present data for decision-making and process improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with clinical and non-clinical teams.
