Overview

The Project Specialist I works in support of the Project Manager and project staff to get projects into construction and to ensure accurate and complete documentation for the projects.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the Project Manager in maintaining project logs and records, including a critical action item list, etc.
  • Maintain oversight of the engineering and design efforts of the project team.
  • Support various disciplines in resolving issues promptly to align with the project schedule.
  • Apply knowledge and skills to resolve problems and develop sound recommendations.
  • Track and expedite designs, materials, and permits to ensure projects enter construction on schedule.
  • Assist with organizing and documenting project meetings, drafting agendas, recording meeting minutes, tracking action items, and ensuring task completion.
  • Manage document revisions and distribution.
  • Track and verify project and organizational deliverables.
  • Support budget management, cost tracking, procurement of goods and services, invoice validation, and payment reconciliation.
  • Assist the Project Manager with daily tasks, creating presentations, and maintaining project documentation.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.
  • Preferred experience in gas/utilities/pipeline fields.
  • Good writing skills and ability to adhere to established standards.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites around Southern California.
  • Desirable knowledge of SAP.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
