Project Specialist
Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Project Specialist coordinates, manages resources, and supervises contractors for facilities projects. They ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Responsibilities also include facilities SOP management, assisting with audits, CAD design, and space planning.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise contractors for facilities projects
- Facilities SOP management
- Audit preps and post audit documentation for Facilities Dept
- Aid with CAD design and space planning
- Identify project goals and scope
- Define tasks, milestones, and resources
- Estimate costs and set a budget
- Identify quality requirements
- Set up a communication plan
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- Relevant professional experience (1-3 years)
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Evaluates an applicant's acquired knowledge and specific technical skills
- Project management experience a plus
- Organizational, time management, and communication skills
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone and read printed material. Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.
