Project Site Nurse
Responsibilities
- Affords assessments, evaluations, and treatments for all injuries (report only, First Aid or Recordable).
- Refers patients to emergency care or other treatment facilities as required.
- Follows up with employees to evaluate and report on improvements or lack thereof, to schedule OMP visits.
- Collaborates with providers to uphold Walsh's commitment to supporting employee health and improvement.
- Administers weekly random UDS and pre-employment UDS as needed.
- Assesses projects for Injury Prevention opportunities.
- Conducts various training sessions, including Pulmonary Protection and Silicosis Prevention Training.
- Administers injections or vaccines, as necessary.
- Provides education to anyone with medical questions and refers to physicians, if necessary.
Qualifications
- At least 3 - 5 years of nursing experience in a fast-paced acute care environment.
- AS Degree in Nursing from an accredited university. BSN preferred.
- Must possess a baseline working knowledge of applicable standards.
- Must demonstrate updated BAT/PortaCount/Urinalysis proficiency.
