Position description

The Department of Computer Science at UC Irvine anticipates potential openings for appointments in the Project Scientist series. Project Scientists make significant and creative contributions to research or creative projects in an academic discipline and/or may engage in University and public service. Project Scientists are expected to have a broad range of knowledge and competency. Appointment and advancement depend on technical contributions made to research.

Positions may be full or part-time and are dependent on extramural funding and research contracts of individual Principal Investigators. Initial appointments are typically one year. Renewal is based on the availability of support and need.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree (e.g. Ph.D.) or the foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
