About the role
Conduct environmental site investigations, assessments and surveys to sample, measure and analyze air, water, material, and soil. Identify, evaluate and recommend risk and remediation strategies/designs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Prepare applicable permit applications, risk assessments and technical documents including proposals, reports and regulatory agency correspondence. Design systems and environmental protection plans.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Provide and lead continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor and promote quality standards and practices.
- Provide consistent quality standards on project and proposal delivery.
- Implement technical requirements to complete client projects by directing and supervising field staff to sample, test and collect data and/or document site activities.
- Develop written proposals to clients for both small and large projects including quality control review of proposals written by others.
- Evaluate complex laboratory and field data and assemble in written reports.
- Document mentoring and application process for Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer certification.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related science field and a minimum of 7 years’ related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 11 years’ related experience.
- Certification in field of expertise required.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
Skills
- Scientific analyses on projects of own discipline.
- Attends on and off-site client meetings.
- Directs and supervises field staff to sample, test and collect data and/or document site activities.
- Develops written proposals to clients for both small and large projects including quality control review of proposals written by others.
- Evaluates complex laboratory and field data and assembles in written reports.

Pay
Maximum Salary: $119,700
Minimum Salary: $77,200
