About the role

GFT is seeking a highly qualified Project Scheduler to support major electric utility transmission and substation projects. This position can be remote with periodic travel to client offices and project sites. The Project Scheduler will support the planning, execution, and delivery of major electric utility transmission and substation capital projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated master project schedules in Primavera P6.
  • Build schedules for engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and closeout activities.
  • Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and recovery opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly schedule update reports and 4-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Provide weekly schedule updates during active construction.
  • Integrate contractor cost-loaded schedules into the master schedule.
  • Support earned value management reporting and project performance tracking.
  • Coordinate schedule development with stakeholders and facilitate baseline reviews.
  • Track procurement milestones, material deliveries, outage requirements, and key project milestones.
  • May require some travel to work site locations as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of project scheduling experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 (Primavera Enterprise V 7.0).
  • Strong understanding of CPM scheduling.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience with major electric utility transmission and substation capital projects.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Utility transmission and substation project experience.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management.
  • Experience with outage scheduling and project controls.
  • PMP, PSP, or similar certification.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $140,000, dependent upon experience and geographic location.

Schedule

Core business hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Full-time employment status.
