Schedule
- Schedule project activities (date, time, sequence) for the Nuclear or Engineering Projects.
- Perform schedule maintenance between Passport and Primavera scheduling tools.
- Affiliate with various project managers in developing schedules for on-line, outage projects and life-cycle schedules.
Principal Accountabilities
- Manages capital project activities for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line work as assigned, overseeing the staff involved in planning, leading, controlling, and monitoring to ensure safe, quality, on-time, and within-budget work.
- Includes all aspects of project implementation such as budget, work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, industrial and nuclear safety, clearance order preparation, work prioritization, resource loading, risk management, and work execution including resolution of schedule delays and conflicts.
Budgeting and Contract Management
- Develops budgets, including tracking cost versus budget for assigned projects.
- Assures proper progress and focus through frequent interface with the client, engineers, related parties, and management.
- Develops and manages contracts and interfaces with vendors.
Scheduling and Planning
- Develops project schedules commensurate with project complexity and size with the goal of managing risk, accurately tracking progress, enforcing accountability, and managing critical path and float.
Communication and Reporting
- Prepares and delivers written and oral communications to various groups including senior management.
Strategic Planning
- Develops and maintains long-range plans strategies associated with assigned projects.
Supporting Programs
- Supports the effective implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
Qualifications
- Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from an accredited college or university OR
- Associates degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related technical curriculum from an accredited college or university AND
- 2 years experience in a technical field
- OR
- High School Diploma/GED AND
- Four years experience in a technical field
