Examples of Work
- Prepares project schedules which include development and maintenance of schedule reporting functions and the establishment and implementation of scheduling procedures for construction projects and power plant outages.
- Develops project networks with planned activities, relationships and durations.
- Analyzes the impacts of re-sequencing work for projects.
- Prepares technical progress reports, reviews contract requirements for scheduling, and identifies potential events which could significantly affect the project schedule.
- Works with others to make judgments about the details of work activities and how the details will affect the project schedule.
- Studies and evaluates project proposal documents and specific work orders and determines the scope of the technical and construction work requirements.
- Develops and utilizes a critical path method (CPM) to determine the correct sequence for flow of work activity and modifies the CPM.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Construction Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must have two (2) years' experience in project scheduling for a major utility or an engineering consulting firm.
- Progressively responsible experience as specified above, beyond the two (2) years required, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required four (4) years of college training.
