About the role

The Project Scheduler contributes to the overall success of CR Meyer and its heavy industrial customers by providing the project team with timely, accurate construction schedules during the planning and construction phase of various projects.

  • Maintains accurate construction schedules, conducts impact analyses, creates schedule recovery plans, and provides updates.
  • Reviews and interprets plans, project documents, and other supporting materials to determine scope of work and develop preliminary construction schedules.
  • Uses knowledge of construction processes and resources to estimate phases of the schedule and prepare schedules accordingly.
  • Incorporates subcontractors, customers, vendors, and other schedules into the master schedule.
  • Reviews change orders and time extension requests and assesses their impact on the overall schedule.
  • Provides updated schedules, analyses, and reports to the project team, customers, and other interested parties.
  • Performs alternative schedule analyses based on change orders and advises decision-making.
  • Creates and communicates schedule recovery plans as needed.
  • Learns and uses CR Meyer-provided software to prepare documents and project management updates.
  • Participates in the active implementation of the CR Meyer Risk Control Plan and prioritizes safety daily.
  • Shares responsibility for maintaining a safe job site, collaborating with the customer, on-site staff, Safety Coordinator, and project team.
  • Works collaboratively with the Project Manager and project team to establish, manage, and communicate project schedules.
  • Keeps the Project Manager informed of situations requiring attention and maintains open communication with the team.
  • Participates in periodic updates and communicates with customers, field staff, subcontractors, and other parties to ensure projects stay within specifications, schedule, and budget.
  • Participates in project close-out meetings and properly documents completed projects for future reference.
  • Wears all assigned PPE and observes CR Meyer safety guidelines at all times.
  • Completes all related reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Represents the CR Meyer brand in a positive, professional manner at all times.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Three plus years of experience in construction with an emphasis on large-scale civil/structural/industrial projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn scheduling and estimating software.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project required; Procore is a plus.
  • Ability to complete all CR Meyer training and perform job duties within safety guidelines.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with CR Meyer’s Drug & Alcohol Policy and Program.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurable driving history, and ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and courteously.
  • Ability to travel to various project sites within the United States.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
